Trethevy Quoit, October
Trethevy Quoit, October
Inspired by this local monument near Bodmin Moor, an impressive Neolithic burial chamber which stands 2.7m high, this piece of contemporary woven textile art is created from original drawings made in situ. The background textures come from the standing stones and the loose drawn lines represent the solid granite shapes on a blustery day.
This original artwork is hand-woven on a digital jacquard loom in a variety of carefully chosen yarns; linen, cotton, rayon, silk and tactel.
This picture is easy to hang – a fine rod can be fed through a tube in the top of the piece and this can be supported on two wall tacks. (Please note rod and tacks are not included).
The artwork measures approximately 53cm wide by 40.5cm long.
