Here the vision is sunrise from the peak of Mount Kinabalu. The artist hand-weaves personal experience into every piece. After an arduous climb of this beautiful mountain in Borneo up to over 4000m, Fiona made drawings and monoprints. This contemporary hanging is handwoven on a digital jacquard loom in mixed fibres including silk, cotton tape and antique rayon floss. It measures 73.5cm wide by 39cm long and hangs by a rod which is inserted through a tube woven into the top of the piece.
