Knowledge gained while working on tapestry artwork commissions feeds back into Fiona’s own creative practice on the jacquard loom. These multicolour abstract art pieces blend up to ten colours, each in itself made up of multiple strands. Yarns were chosen for their colour and strands combined to make similar thicknesses, three yellow cotton work as the equivalent of nine fine green silk threads for example.
